OUR INNOVATIONS!

Innovative product

  • Alpha Impulsion is focusing on the development of rocket engine for launch vehicle application. Our first demonstrator, Ambre, is a 1kN propulsion system to demonstrate the feasibility of autophage propulsion. Our second project, Lapis Lazuli, is a development version of a full-scale cryogenic rocket engine. Our last project Grenat, covers the industrialization of our vehicle, able to launch satellite up to 500kg to low earth orbit.

Innovation technology

  • Our core technology is the patent-pending hybrid autophage rocket engine. This engine is able to use the structure of the rocket as propellant. The structure is burned like candle, getting progressively smaller during the flight, albeit instead of the small candle flame at the end, a combustion chamber is propelling the rocket. This enables us to improve the performance of our launch vehicles, whilst reducing manufacturing costs, all of which lower the cost of accessing space for our customers.
